Argentinian President Javier Milei emphasized that bringing back the hostages was his country's "top priority" during a meeting at Jerusalem's King David Hotel on Wednesday with former hostages and family members holding Argentinian citizenship of captives still in the Gaza Strip.
They also met with Argentinian ambassador to Israel Axel Wahnish and the country's foreign minister Gerardo Werthein.
Those who met with Milei include released hostages Yarden Bibas and Karina Engel-Bart, the latter being released during the hostage deal in November 2023. The families of hostages include Rut Storm, Dalia Cusnir, Silvia and José Luis Cunio, and Yael Savariego.
Bibas thanked Milei for declaring days of mourning in his country in memory of Shiri, Ariel, and Kfir Bibas. He also thanked Wahnish for participating in the family's shiva.
